State Finals Parking Fundraiser

Dear Family & Friends of MHSXC,

 

          THANK YOU for all that you’ve done this season.  Your support allows us to successfully fulfill our responsibilities and continue the traditions that make our program special.  We have made great progress this year and had a lot of fun.  Collectively, your offerings have made a huge, positive impact on our program and athletes. 

 

          Your assistance with and contributions to camp started us in the right direction.  The picnics continue to be a well-deserved reward for our student-athletes.  We absolutely could not host home meets without your support.  Thank you for working in the chute, at the road, concessions stand and on the course.  Thank you for your support at our away meets.  It’s so nice to have a cheering session when far from home. 

 

          Our last request asks you to:

PLEASE VOLUNTEER AT OUR ANNUAL FUNDRAISER.

 

As you may or may not know, we are one of the host schools for the MHSAA State Cross Country Finals.  The meet is hosted at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, MI.  As a host school we have several responsibilities for which we are compensated.  Along with Coach Bork, I spend two Sundays in October at MIS painting the course for the state finals.  Your role, as parents and supporters of MHSXC, is to help check parking credentials and direct parking traffic the day of the meet.  We require 22 adult volunteers to fulfill this obligation.  In exchange for your volunteering, MHSXC will receive between $1500 & $2000 compensation.  This is such an awesome opportunity for our program.  Thanks to Coach Bork’s early involvement with this committee, our program continues to reap benefits from the state finals.  Still, we need your continued dedication and volunteerism to make this year’s meet a success and maintain good standing with the committee. 

 

          If you have not already, please consider volunteering for Saturday, November 3^rd at MIS.  Details are included on the back of this letter.  Please feel free to contact me or Steve Bartman with any questions.  Thank you very much for your time and consideration in this matter.
