PARKING FOR SATURDAY AT COACHING LEGENDS CLASSIC.

Please consider having your bus drive drop your teams off and then leave the park.

This would be very helpful to the park and meet management. This would also free up additional parking for parents and spectators.

Parking will be the major issue we have so sending buses out of the park will be very helpful. Here are some suggestions as to where buses can be sent.

You can then simply call for buses to pick you up as the meet nears conclusion.

SCRANTON MIDDLE SCHOOL:

Exit the park (south), turn left on Hammel Road (east), go1/2 mile to Rickett Road and turn left (north).

Go two miles north to Maltby Road and turn left at the blinking light. (west)

Go approx. 1 mile and the entrance to Scranton Middle School is on the right.

GREEN OAK SHOPPING AREA. (many shops and restaurants)

Same directions as above EXCEPT.

Go through the light at Malby Road and continue on Rickett Road one more mile to LEE road. Turn right (east) on Lee Road about a mile and it is a wonderland of stores and places for bus drivers to mingle.

Again, remind your parents that are coming to watch to allow ample time to get into the park and that there will be a $5.00 admission charge per vehicle unless they have a metro parks pass. Please ask your parents to be considerate of park officials and park only in designated areas. Parking attendants will be directing traffic.

      Jamboree 1

      MSU Invite

From Ann Arbor Huron. RE: Tuesday's SEC Jamboree 1

      1) there will be some shirts, bags and other running related items for sale so be sure to tell your athletes to bring some extra bucks.!

      2)  I believe that the park system has raised entry fee to $5 per car.  That stays with the parks, with the host school of any meet there not receiving any of it.  Be sure to let your parents/supporters know.

      3)  Remember that this meet has the teams from both divisions competing in the same race by gender.

      4) You can send whichever 10 athletes you choose to the starting line of the Varsity race.  Send the rest of your kids to the Reserve Race.

      Warrior Classic wrap.

      Warrior Invitational Results

Our boys were led by Senior Derek Brodie.  We boys finished 6th out of 11 teams.  Brodie and Sean Brady were our medalist for the day, finishing 9th and 11th respectively.    Adam Russell had an outstanding day finishing up as our #3 runner in 37th (20:22).  The course was flooded and very slow.  Despite the conditions, Adam's performance was a 23 second personal best.

The girls missed a trophy by just 4 points, finishing 4th with 105 points.  Sophomore Riley Delben paced the girls with her 20:48, 3rd place finish.  Ashley Nichols (22nd / 22:51), Lindsey Zawacki (23rd / 22:54), Tori Warnecke (26th / 23:16) and Paige Bork (30th / 23:25) medalled.

Don't blame the Monroe Evening News.

I'm at fault for the lack of write up today.  I appologize.  I thought I sent our results from the meet yesterday.  Who knew Lake Erie Metro Park was in Candadian cyber space?  Not only did my message not send, but I was charged for International Roaming!!!

Check Monday evenings edition for the write up.
